Abstract
Introduction While numerous government initiatives have been directed to encourage entrepreneurship activities amongst the Malaysian youths across all the economic sectors, however, agricultural-based entrepreneurship (agropreneurship) seems to be an unfavoured choice despite its strategic economic importance. Young entrepreneurs prefer to choose sectors that are trendier and happening, such as food and beverages, technology, and services. Therefore, the motivation to become agropreneurs seems to be rather exclusive and is influenced by unknown factors. Aim of the Study The study seeks to examine the factors that influence the motivation of Malaysian young agropreneurs. Method The study employed a quantitative survey method via self-administered questionnaires. Respondents were asked questions concerning their motivations to start a business in the agriculture sector. Data were collected from a sample population consists of young agropreneurs from various states in Malaysia. Data were then analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 21. Results Amongst the key motivators for the respondents to start their agro-based businesses include to pursue their dream, to elevate their socio-economic status and to challenge themselves. Conclusion This paper highlights the underlying factors that influence the motivation of becoming young agropreneurs.

Abstract
The 4.0 industrial revolution demands universities to improve the quality of their graduates. This study aims to find out the improvement of basic engineering competencies through practical learning which is divided into three groups, namely Reg, Real, Reg.V-Labs and Rem, V-Labs. Practical topics are summarized on AC circuits with resistor loads, inducers and capacitors on series and parallel systems. Data analysis using One-way Anova test for comparison of practicum learning outcomes and practicum effectiveness was analyzed by gain-score comparison. The results of the study prove that the competence of practicum results in RL-circuit and RC-circuits is high but for RLC-circuit is quite medium. Based on the form of practicum, the competency achievement of the V-Labs group is higher than that of Reg. Real. The study also proves that the gain score states Reg.V-Labs are more effective than Reg.Real and Rem.V-Labs. The research findings recommend the use of a V-Labs simulation program for basic engineering practicums especially for laboratories that lack equipment and instructors in an effort to improve basic electrical competency.

Abstract
University is primarily being a wide place or facility to produce capable, intelligent and professional workforce. Students are equipped with various kinds of knowledge theoretically as well as trained through the internship process. However, the findings on graduates who don-t reflect some aspects of professionalism, less competent in each of their fields or even their soft skills should be classified as urgent issues at any rate. Driven by these contrary sides, we highlighted that the less maintained students- internship period might be a variable for the problems. We started by collecting previous studies on the dissatisfactions from employers about trainees/interns from universities, analyzed the solutions, and triangulated the solutions we proposed by exploring internship masterplan at a university in Indonesia. From all of these steps, we found that appropriate, intensive mentoring ways in the students- internship period are the main points to create the skills that meet any employers- demands. We believe that the results of this study will be very useful for those who need answers to the best ways to improve the quality and capabilities of higher education graduates.

Abstract
The prediction of multiplet energies of dn ions such as transition metal ions in crystals is important for the development of novel optical materials. The first-principles calculations of the multiplet energies can be performed by the discrete variational multi-electron (DVME) method which is based on the configuration-interaction (CI) approach. Although the mutiplet energies calculated by CI calculations are generally overestimated, the overestimation can be corrected by considering the configuration-dependent correction (CDC) and the correlation correction (CC). For example, the experimental multiplet energies of V3+ and Cr3+ in α-Al2O3 were well reproduced by first-principles calculations considering CDC-CC. However, for d5 and d6 ions, the conditions of CDC-CC such as the considered transition processes have not been established. In this study, in order to optimize the conditions of CDC-CC, we performed first-principles calculations of the multiplet energies of Fe3+ and Co3+ in α-Al2O3 considering CDC-CC based on various transition processes. As a result, we could optimize the conditions of CDC-CC for Fe3+ and Co3+ in α-Al2O3 and successfully reproduced the experimental multiplet energies. By consideration of CDC-CC, the repulsion between electrons was suppressed and the overestimation of the multiplet splittings was reduced.

Abstract
Eu2+ ions are utilized as luminescent ions in solid-state lasers and phosphors. Therefore, the prediction of the 4f7→4f65d1 transition energy of Eu2+ in crystals is important to develop novel luminescent materials. In this work, we tried to predict the 4f7→4f65d1 transition energy of Eu2+ in oxides using first-principles calculations and machine learning. The first-principles calculations were performed based on the discrete variational multi-electron (DVME) method using small clusters composed of Eu2+ and all anions closer than the closest cation. Although the calculated 4f7→4f65d1 transition energies and the experimental ones showed some correlation, the theoretical values tend to be larger than the experimental ones by ca. 1.5 eV. Since machine learning enables one to create a predictive model of an output based on attributes, we tried to create a predictive model of the 4f7→4f65d1 transition energy of Eu2+ in oxides by machine learning using the calculated 4f7→4f65d1 transition energies and other electronic and structural parameters as the attributes.
