Abstract
Microbial enzymes utilization in industrial application recently has become extensive. One enzyme that is widely used in industry is the cellulase which is able to hydrolyze the glycosidic B-1.4 bonds present in cellulose. In previous studies, isolation of a cellulose degrading bacteria P12 from Mount Merapi spring water was carried out which had the highest cellulolytic activity (2.326 ± 0.219 U/mg). This research aims to identify P12 isolates molecularly using the 16S-rRNA gene, and characterize the cellulase produced. A descriptive quantitative design was used in this research. The P12 isolate was revealed to be Bacillus licheniformis based on 16S rRNA analysis with 99% homology. The concentration of ammonium sulfate 70% saturation can precipitate cellulase enzymes with purification folds of 6 times with specific activities 0.0103 U / mg. Cellulase enzyme fractionated with ammonium sulfate at this research was optimum at pH 7 and temperature 50C

Abstract
The air pollution as a by-product from the pyrolysis process of coconut shell waste into charcoal is a problem that must be considered. Therefore, the processing of pyrolysis by-product into liquid smoke has been developed in recent years. However, the conventional technology by directly condensing the smoke has many impurity compounds which cause a decrease in the yield of liquid smoke produced. Hence, in this study the cyclone separator was applied to increase the quality of physicochemical content in coconut shell-liquid smoke (CS-LS) grade C. The physical parameters analyzed were yield, pH, density and color. While the chemical parameters was analyzed by GC-MS. The result showed that CS-LS with cyclone separator was able to increase total yield into 3.33%, which the color, pH and density better than CS-LS conventional. The cyclone separator was able to increase the phenolic compounds (97%), alcoholic compounds (92%), cycloalkane compounds (91%) and also decreased the benzoic acid, carbonyl and ester up to 100% compared with conventional CS-LS. In addition, the application of cyclone separator technology was potential to be applied to the SMEs or industrial liquid smoke in order to improve the quantity and quality of liquid smoke in Indonesia

Abstract
The utilization of coconut shell waste into liquid smoke has been carried out in recent years. However, the conventional technology that has been applied before only able to produce coconut shell-liquid smoke (CS-LS) in grade C. Whereas the further processing is needed to produce a higher quality of CS-LS into grade A. Hence, the aim of this study is to produce CS-LS based on the redistillation-filtration technology and analyzed on its physical and chemical characterization. The characteristic of CS-LS were analyzed not only in physical parameters like yields, pH and density, but also identified of chemical compounds by using GC-MS method. The result showed that the redistillation and filtration technology produce CS-LS grade A and grade C was 2.17% and 0.83% respectively. The CS-LS grade A has pH and density value better than CS-LS grade C and also inline with the SmokEz Enviro-23 standard. The CS-LS grade A was composed of 4 main chemical component such as phenolic, alkoxy, cycloacene, and furan compounds. While the CS-LS grade C was composed of 6 main chemical component such as phenolic, carbonyl, acid, alkoxy, ester and cycloalkene compounds. Although CS-LS grade C has more chemical compounds, CS-LS grade A has the highest phenolic compounds which is suitable to be produced commercially as a natural food preservative. Therefore, the application of redistillation-filtration technology in CS-LS production, potentially applied to SMEs or CS-LS industries in Indonesia.

Abstract
Red beetroot (Beta vulgaris L. Var. Rubra L.) is one of the agricultural commodities that are very beneficial for human health. One of the benefit is to facilitate the transport of nutrients throughout the body and maintain the number of red blood cells. However, the utilization of red beetroot commodities is still very minimal, especially in Indonesia. For this reason, innovation is needed in the manufacture of red beetroot derivative products. This study aims to determine the physicochemical properties of beetroot cookies due to the influence of variations in the proportion of beetroot powder and oven temperature. The method used in this study is Factorial Randomized Block Design consisting of 2 treatment factors. First, is the proportion of beetroot powder (10%, 15%, and 20%) and second is the oven temperature (160˚C, 170˚C, and 180˚ C). The results of the study were analyzed with ANOVA (Analysis of Variance), if the results showed significant differences, they would be further tested with Tukey-s Honestly Significant Difference Test with 5% of significance level. The selection of the best treatment is done by using the Multiple Attribute. The best treatment will be tested for potassium, magnesium and phosphorus levels using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry. Based on the results of the study, the proportion of beetroot powder factor had significant effect on brightness, redness, yellowness, hardness, fracturability, water content, and crude fiber of cookies. The oven temperature factor has a significant effect on brightness, redness, yellowness, hardness, fracturability, and crude fiber, but has no significant effect on water content. The interaction between the two factors had a significant effect on brightness, redness, and yellowness, but has no significant effect on hardness, fracturability, water content, and crude fiber of cookies. The best treatment of beetroot cookies based on the Multiple Attribute Method is cookies with a 15% proportion of beetroot powder and baked on 170˚C with an average value of potassium levels 476.16 mg/g, magnesium content 20.46 mg/g, and phosphorus 28.02 mg/g.

As a biopolymer, tragacanth is a naturally degradable and biocompatible material. Tragacanth is an anionic polysaccharide derived from a dried exudate from the branches and stems of Astragalus. New biomaterials prepared with tragacanth are presently being designed for food applications. Having a GRAS status from the FDA, this gum is one of the most frequently used natural polymers utilized as coating materials, emulsifier, stabilizing and thickening agent to control the microstructure and texture and to improve viscosity and stability of various food and bioproducts. As a food additive, incorporation of tragacanth has an effect on rheological and textural properties of formulated foods. This study concentrates on the current findings in food application of tragacanth.

Abstract
Electro-osmosis is a method for regulating water availability by utilizing one-way electric current directly. Two electrodes are installed on the ground and run by electricity, then the water contained in the soil will move from the positive electrode to the negative electrode. Water is a resource and a determinant factor that determines the performance of the agricultural sector. Water scarcity is a major obstacle in the management of dry land. Water maintained by electrodes will facilitate the roots to absorb water by utilizing the principle of electro-osmosis. In this study, we observed the rate of water withdrawal and growth of mustard plants using the electro-osmosis method at various input voltages (5, 12 and 24 volts) and combinations of soil types (clay, compost and sand). The best treatment is the 12 volt input voltage with a combination of dominant clay soil consisting of 40% clay, 30% compost and 30% sand.

Abstract
The unique aroma of fragrant pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb) makes this material widely used in traditional food formulation. Pandan leaves are generally applied fresh and only the aroma is used, after that the remaining pandan leaves will be wasted. Following the zero waste concept, this study utilizes pandan leaves to produce pandan leaf powder which can be used entirely as food ingredients. This study aims to characterize pandan leaves in powder form and obtains the best concentration in its application to making pandan sponge cake. Fresh pandan leaves are dried with a variety of dryers (cabinet oven temperature 40 and 50oC, oven vacuum temperature 40 and 50oC, and freeze dryer) then ground with a ball mill and sifted through a 100 mesh screen. The analysis of proximate, fiber, chlorophyll, color, organoleptic aroma are done for characterizing pandan leaf powder. Pandan leaf powder with a concentration of 0-25% is added to the pandan sponge cake formulation. Furthermore, the cake is analyzed physically: color, texture and pore, and organoleptic: texture, color, aroma and taste. The result shows that the best pandan leaf powder characteristics is produced by freeze dryer. Addition of powdered pandan leaves to a concentration of 25%, organoleptically did not affect the panelists acceptability of pandan cake.

Abstract
Numerous antimicrobials, hormones and enzymes as bioactive peptides/proteins could take advantage of oral delivery. Microparticles produced by complexation of two polyelectrolytes may have prospective use as a carrier for oral administration of proteins/peptides. Food polysaccharides like alginate, carrageenan, pectin, tragacanth and dextran can be potential excipients for this purpose. In this research, microparticles were created by the inclusion of bioactive protein/peptides into a tragacanth hydrogel accompanied by drying process. Insulin was utilized as a bioactive proteins model. Bioactive protein and tragacanth microparticles created at various pH and drying methods (freeze drying and spray drying) were assessed by SEM analysis and ATR Fourier transform infrared (ATR FTIR). The SEM study revealed that sub spherical microparticle was produced using spray drying process while the porous structure was produced using the freeze drying method. In FTIR study, the complexes between tragacanth and insulin displayed amide absorption bands appearing in the protein spectra and exhibited the formation of new chemical substances. This finding indicates that both spray and freeze dried microparticles may act as a potentially promising device for oral delivery of bioactive proteins and peptides

Abstract
Women entrepreneurship has been growing and contributing significantly to economic activities, and it may also reduce unemployment, especially in developing countries. In Indonesia and Zimbabwe, entrepreneurship has become a very popular option among women. The high rate of entrepreneurship as a career choice among females is attributed to factors that are specific to females in these two countries, which may also possibly relate to other countries. The purpose of this paper is to understand the variables and their interrelationships that lead to sector crowding in entrepreneurship among females in Harare, Zimbabwe and Bandung, Indonesia. A phenomenological and comparative qualitative approach to research was adopted for this study to help the researcher gain deeper understanding of experiences of Bandung and Harare female entrepreneurs with respect to their to issues that influence their choice of sector to venture their business into in total early stage entrepreneurial activity (TEA). With a purposive sampling technique, 3 women from Bandung and 3 women from Harare active women entrepreneurs will sampled for the study. A multiple case study strategy, in-depth face-to-face interviews, and participant observation will be used to solicit responses from participants included in the study. The study focused solely on sector choices of women entrepreneurs and the barriers to enter male dominated sectors in Harare and Bandung. More so, the sample is quite small which may not represent the experiences of the whole population. Originality/value – As a first of its kind as a comparative study in the Harare and Bandung context, little is known in extant literature until now with regard to sector preferences in women entrepreneurship in both these cities. This study therefore seeks to bridge this gap.
