Abstract
Abstract One of the significant concerns of communicative way of learning is to be able to convey meaning and not just physical words in a language. The study of speech acts and politeness could possibly help achieve this. When using speech acts, one should take into consideration the conversational rules of the language and in order to establish a safe and harmonious conversation, it is better to use certain strategies to eliminate their possible threatening effects. This study aims to find out the politeness strategies used by the teachers and how the politeness affects to the students compliance. The focus is on directive and expressive speech acts. The subjects of this study were three lectures and the students of English class. The data was gathered by video audio recording the teachers utterances and the students compliance to the teacher, in order to find the teachers politeness principles and the students compliance to the teachers utterances. In the data analysis, it is found that 1) the teachers used ten maxims in their communication to the students. They are tact maxim, generosity maxim, approbation maxim agreement maxim, Obligation (of S to O) maxim, sympathy maxim, modest maxim, Obligation (of O to S) maxim, Opinion reticence maxim, and feeling reticence maxim. 2) The lecturers dominantly used tact maxim in their directive speech acts to the students. 3) Students pragmatic competence and cultural awareness were the factors that affected the students compliance to the teachers politeness utterances. The findings of this study will probably give insights into the pragmatic and conversational rules EFL.

Abstract
The importance of using nonverbal communication (NVC) is as a complement to spoken expressions when especially communicating with people of different background. On one hand, NVC is used to convey meaning in which verbal words cant convey meaning, and is used to express attitudes and emotions in interpersonal relations. On the other hand, NVC is used to convey intended meaning when the addressor cant fully understand against the addresse with different socioculture. Since NVC is very important in conversation particularly when communicating with foreigners. Therefore, this study concerns with guides understanding and perception on NVC in transactional negotiation. The paper used quailitative and quantitative research trying to see the common forms of NVC expressed by two sides. The sample is all guides and is taken from the field in which conversation takes place. This research used observation to see actual data of on going discourse and used camera recorder to see the common NVC employed by guides and foreign guesses and asking guides understanding through questionnaires and perception through interview. The result showed that most of guides about 90% understand the basic forms of NVC such as head nodding and shaking, hand shaking, finger sign and eye contact while other forms, 73% of guides doesnt understand nonverbal sign used by guesses during conversation, and about 89 % of them said that the involvement of Nonverbal Communication is very important to bridge words and lack of vocabulary. However, because majority of them lack of knowledge on nonverbal signs leads them to ignore such things.

Abstract
In the household, gender construction still places women in a subordinate position compared to men. injustices experienced by women, such as the ambiguity of the division of labor that defines women as more suitable in domestic space and men in the public space. Domestic space which was previously a source of womens helplessness, in the digital era has been slowly able to improve womens position. Technological advancements make all activities easier, including being productive through an online shop business even if only at home. Online shops specifically become a new world that is occupied by many women in Jombang, East Java. This study focuses on examining the issue of power dynamics in the households of online shop business women in Jombang. This study uses qualitative research methods, data sources were obtained through in-depth interviews with 5 online shop business women in Jombang. The results of the study show that there is a dynamic power relationship in the household of a womans online shop business. In many situations, husbands are still dominant in making important decisions in the household, this is related to patriarchal culture that supports male superiority. On the other hand, online shop business women also have the ability to operate power. The productivity of managing an online shop gives a greater opportunity to get an award. The form of self-autonomy in the women household of online shop business is also proven by better and independent financial arrangements compared to before conducting online business activities.

Abstract
Until a few years ago, most practitioners and scientists still argued that security, peace and conflict resolution issues had nothing to do with gender. But the facts show that women and children tend to be victims in situations of war and conflict. Even some militias allowed their troops to rape women in compensation for wages against the enemy. Other militia use rape as a weapon of war. These terrible phenomenon made women aware that they had to move, to change their own destiny, which had originally become victims, now had to become agents of change, as peace builders, peacekeepers, and to participate in peace negotiations. This research aim to analyze why women need to increase their role in the peace and conflict resolution agenda. More specifically will examine about the contribution of Indonesian Female Peacekeeper on Indonesian Peacekeeping Forces (Kontingen Garuda/Konga). The following paper will use a feminist theoretical framework in analyzing the issue at hand. Gender analysis will be used to look at the role and impact experienced by men and women in war and conflict, and the role that women can play in the peace and conflict resolution agenda. It argues that the change of the nature of warfare, from mainly inter-state to predominantly intra-state, and the change of the concept of security from national security to human security requires the ability of peacekeepers to get closer to the community. The involvement of women in peacekeeping forces will increase community acceptance, and optimizes the militaries ability to fulfill its role in protecting democratic societies.

Abstract
Exchange currency rate becomes one of the most important things on country economic growth. In some countries, the rate may affect seriously to economic growth and political stability. Governments need to have some actions in order to stabilize the rate. Knowing the pattern of exchange currency rate is a mandatory by governments for determining their future policies or as consideration in future decision-making. Therefore, government needs an analysis tool for modeling the rate prediction. Our previous study emerged that using deep learning method with encoder-decoder architecture has succeeded to model the rate prediction with teacher forcing and give only a one-step prediction. In this study, the authors aim to predict the pattern of exchange rate using the previous method with zero input to decoder to obtain multiple time steps prediction. After training and testing over 4,344 daily data series of IDR to USD exchange currency rate over 17 years taken from Bank Indonesia official website, the result found that the method still showed an interesting model to predict the next 40 sequence data series of exchange rate. In conclusion, the proposed method can be utilized to tackle the others prediction problem and the resulted model can be applied as an analysis tool by government for predicting their rate for the coming months or years.

Abstract
Home is a basic human need. One of the ease of obtaining houses for Low-income Households (LIH) is a subsidized housing program. This program aims to make it easier for LIH to buy and occupy a decent house through a Subsidized Housing Mortgage (SHM). As of the end of 2017, the Government channeled funds of more than 32 trillion rupiah to finance 846,406 housing units through SHM. The problems that occur in the field are that there are still many houses that are not/have not been occupied by their owners. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of subsidized housing occupancy and the factors that influence it. Primary data collection through observation and interviews with homeowners. The results showed that only 73.65% of the houses were occupied by their owners. Of the number of houses occupied, only a small number of owners directly inhabit after signing the SHM contract. Based on factor analysis, there are at least 4 main factors that affect the housing occupancy of the subsidized namely the quality of houses, housing facilities, housing locations, and personal factors of the owner.

Abstract
Recently, the shipbuilding industry has been able to develop new production methods. This new methods promotes design automation in order to produce ships more efficiently. Engine room design, including the piping system, is a complex process especially in the pipe routing problem. This process requires a considerable number of man hours. This paper presents a new approach for optimization of pipe routing system. The Dijkstra-s algorithm is used to obtain short path by considering some constraints like number of pipe bends and pipe cross. The method works by generating some candidate paths based on the given paramaters geometrically. The non-geometric paramaters such as material cost and installation cost will also be assesed. Then by using the algorithm, the desire option from various candidate paths will be evaluated. This study discusses the details of the above methods. In addition, simulation test of a several piping systems were carried out to illustrate the pipe routing design procedure in detail and to verify the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.

Abstract
Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are more frequently occurred in age-adjusted male subjects than female ones. It is suggested that testosterone (T) may contribute to the cardiovascular events, which is initiated by platelet adhesion, activation and aggregation. Endothelial cells (EC) prevent platelet activation and adhesion by synthesizing and releasing thromboregulator agents, including prostacycline (PGI2). Activity of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme is needed to catalyze conversion of arachidonic acid into prostaglandin, including PGI2. This study aimed to examine the influence of T to the expression of COX-2 in EC, in either resting (normal glucose environment) or stimulated (high glucose environment). We performed an in vitro experiment using human umbilical vein endothelial cells culture (HUVEC) with 2x4 factorial design. T was exposed to HUVEC in incremental doses: 0, 1, 10 and 102 nM in either normal glucose (5.6 mM) or high glucose (22.4 mM) concentration in treatment medium. Expression of COX-2 was measured using immunocytochemistry. Data were analyzed using independent t-test, one-way ANOVA and analysis of variance 2x4. P value <0.05 was considered significantly different. Percentage of EC positively stained with anti COX-2 antibody in NG medium without T was significantly lower than those with 1 nM, 10 nM and 102 nM T. Percentage of EC positively stained with anti COX-2 antibody in HG medium without T was significantly higher than those with 1 nM, 10 nM and 102 nM T. Exposure of T in incremental doses in either NG or HG medium significantly influenced percentage of EC positively stained with anti COX-2 antibody. There was main effect of glucose medium or T to percentage of EC positively stained with anti COX-2 antibody. Moreover, there was interaction between T and glucose medium to percentage of EC positively stained with anti COX-2 antibody. In conclusion, testosterone increases expression of COX-2 enzyme in resting endothelial cells (normal glucose environment) but decreases significantly expression of COX-2 enzyme in stimulated or activated endothelial cells (high glucose environment).

Abstract
This article aims at explaining the competition between Muslims and Christians in Jayapura, Papua. The competition between the two religious groups happens not only in the spread of religious teaching, but also in the struggle of public spaces in Jayapura, Papua, such as the installation of religious symbols and the construction of religious facilities massively. The struggle for public spaces creates both conflict tendency and opportunities for constructive dialogue. This study shows that (1) the competition between the two groups results the thickening of religious identity, and (2) the struggle for public spaces occurs along with the implementation of special autonomy policies for Papua. Religious identity gets stronger and creates contradictory relationships, while the policy provides a broad space for Papuan Christians politically. Papuans have more open access on the control of the political sector, thus indirectly marginalizing the role and the existence of Muslim migrants in Jayapura, Papua.

Abstract
Environment is easily changing through urban development and people growth. In this situation, the availability of clean water would be threatened unless it has a good water management. The purpose of this research is to examine Moslem women-s participation in sustainable household clean water management. This descriptive research analyzed quantitative and qualitative data collected using questionnaire and interview toward 50 household women. The sampling methods employed accidental sampling in Moslem community. This research found that household clean water management has not optimally done yet so it could not perform the water use efficiency for environment and water sustainability although the women-s participation rates is high (75,40). In addition, the teaching of Islam has not emerged as the basic principle for water management by Moslem women in their household. This showed by the practice of water managements, such as water saving and water conservation, which were only done for saving the money and not related to their Islamic beliefs.

Abstract
The existance of so called dilemma between non performing financing (NPF) and needs of financing, particularly in microfinance has become a great homework for banking industry and cooperatives along with its related instruments. It is plausible to look for the causes of NPF as well as its implications to micro and small enterprises. Research purposes are twofolds, to figure out and analyze factors influencing Non Performing Financing of Islamic banking as well as to generate suggestions on its implications toward Lembaga Pengelola Dana Bergulir Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil Menengah (LPDB KUKM). This research is conducted in quantitative approach. It covers two variables, macroeconomy and Islamic banking financial performance (BUS, UUS, and BPRS) in Indonesia towards Non Performing Finance (NPF). The research findings include several factors, such as current depreciation, increase in quantity of Islamic micro financing, and inefficiency of Islamic banking operation, that contributes to the rising NPF in Islamic banking in Indonesia. However, the increase in Islamic banking office networks can tackling potensial growth of NPF. The research implicates in policy associated to Lembaga Pengelola Dana Bergulir Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil Menengah (LPDB-KUKM), as General Service Agency (Badan Layanan Umum or BLU) at the Ministry of Cooperation and Small and Medium Enterprises. LPDB KUKM, in allocating revolving funds for Islamic micro enterprises with Islamic scheme, can cooperate with Islamic banking, either BUS, UUS, and BPRS considering that Islamic banking has developed number of networks which could expand the reach of Islamic micro financing programs.

Determination of this area is based on the unique geological diversity accompanied by non-geological diversity. Both of these areas are geological protected areas as stated in PP No. 26 of 2008 (RTRWN), Perda No 06 Year 2010 (RTRW of Central Java Province) and Perda No. 23 of 2010 (RTRW of Kebumen Regency). The northern Geopark region is known for its diversity of rocks resulting from the process of plate subduction from 117 to 55 million years ago so as to produce complex and unique geological conditions that interact with environmental conditions to produce flora, fauna and culture. In conducting spatial planning of the geopark area, consideration of the existence of geological and non-geological sites is absolutely considered. This study aims to do a description, to know the distribution of geological and non-geological sites, to conduct zoning and the formulation of policy patterns to support the preparation of detailed geopark spatial planning. It is expected that with the geopark zoning, the use of existing space and activities can be aligned and support the protected function of the area. Based on the distribution of geological and non-geological diversity, the northern geopark region is composed of 4 (four) zones with Luk Ulo River as the main zone of the geopark area. Zone-1 is around the district Karangsambung with a focus on geological heritage (geo-heritage), zone-2 with a focus on the development of geological-based agro-tourism (geo-agro) which is located around Sadang district. Zone-3 with the emphasis on developing geological -based water tourism (geo-water) around the Alian district. While zone-4 (geo-culture) with the focus of the development of geological-based cultural tourism in the district of Karaggayam.

Abstract
Incompatibility of employee personality profiles causes adverse effects, including reputation threats and employee relationships between employees in the work environment of the organization. It needs special attention for recruiters to carefully recruit employees. They must be able to recognize the actual candidates personality through effective recruitment communication media information. Experience Job interviews and word of mouth information are recruitment methods that are considered effective. However, this method does not guarantee the honesty of the candidates personality. In developed countries like America, India and China believe social media candidates are able to support and strengthen the job interview process. Recruiters can easily screen candidates personality profiles by posting messages on their accounts. Social media is believed to be able to overcome the management of excessive impressions made by candidates during the interview process. Social media adoption is thought to be able to give recruiters access to the volume of information on honesty of candidates behavior who they have never known before. However, in Indonesia, especially in Semarang and Solo as the big cities in Central Java, organizations tend to still favor job fairs as media venues for interviews and tracking candidates personal profiles. By using survey quantitative method, the researcher will analyze the relationship between variable of motivational involved of HR Recruiters using Instagram and Facebook and variables of information on honesty of millennial candidates personality. The Elaboration Likelihood Models approach is expected to be able to identify how much information experiences persuade on recruiters using of Facebook and Instagram in the innovation of HR social media recruitment in the technological era.

Abstract
This paper discusses the political and state analysis proposed by Andrew Heywood in his book on politics. Politics and the State are things that cannot be freed because they deal with almost all aspects of life that are on the boundaries of their land. Political science is actually understood as a State study, an analysis of organizational institutions, evaluating its impact on society and so on. Therefore the State has often been interpreted as a political entity that forms a region within the boundaries of the sovereignty of certain regions, and organizes authority through a series of permanent institutions. The state has the power and authority that regulates all activities to ensure public security, social and economic prosperity, and its development. But lately the role of the State in power and sovereignty-threat-threat will lose its authority partly in controlling the direction of the destination country. The entry of globalization or the global market makes the role of the state become weaker or stronger, so that the state can lose its existence in authority. The country can be a failure or maybe advance with the global market. The analysis used in this paper is to use the theory of Good Governance. Discussion of the results shows that the policies issued by the president of labor regulations regarding the use of negative and positive impacts. On one side of this policy is the possibility of attending ASEAN countries because of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) agreement. The agreement with the State must also have to give up some of its authority.

Abstract
As an institution that plays an important role in the economic system, especially in the flow of payments, banks have various risk exposures inherent in it. This condition is also supported by the digitization of banking services, so that banks are connected to one another. Inter-bank interaction will cause interbank risk exposure to be higher through the interbank market, so that contagion risk and the opportunity for systemic risks between banks will also be higher if a bank experiences a default. This study aims to determine the effect of contagion on banks in Indonesia. The sample selection criteria in this study are conventional banks that provide annual reports from 2007 to 2016, thus obtaining 18 banks as research samples. The measurement of contagion effect is done by using the financial contagion risk index and tested using the Vector Autoregression method. The results showed that there was a one-way causality pattern between banks in the study sample including BCA with Bank Mayapada, Maybank Bank, Bank Mega, and Bank Resona Perdania, then Bank CIMB Niaga with BCA, BRI, BNI, BTN, Commonwealth Bank, J-Trust Bank, KEB Hana Bank, Mega Bank and Permata Bank. While two-way causality occurs between Bank BCA and Bank Mandiri and vice versa. In addition, the impact of risk pressure from a bank is not always positive, but in some case, it is also negative, which means that the bank can actually take advantage of the shock conditions experienced by other banks.

Abstract
Objectives Structured Clinical Examination or OSCE is one method to assess the competency of nursing students especially in nursing skills assessment. This method is used broadly among Indonesian nursing institution as well as other health science institutions. One indicator of OSCE is achieve the minimum standard score as required and the most common strategy to score is using paper or paper based. The objective of this paper is to discuss the development of Online OSCE or ON OSCE application prototype for scoring OSCE. The ON OSCE was developed by using prototype model which consist of 3 phases: analysis, design, and implementation phases to develop online OSCE scoring system and implement it to the users to get evaluation and feedback. Before the ON OSCE can be implemented, the subject coordinator ensures the checklist that is used to measure the skill competency is valid, reliable, and integrate the additional values of institution. The fixed checklist is entered into the system by administrator. After the checklist is ready, the administrator inserts the list students who will be assessed. During the OSCE, the examiner observes the students and uses the tablets or PC to enter the score directly. While the examiner finished the scoring process, the result of the observed student will directly come out in the tablet or PC. The result for all of students can be downloaded and stored that can be used to score the overall student achievement in nursing skill practicum. The ONOSCE will be able to reduce the time to score, improve the accuracy and objectivity, reduce paper use, and improve the examiners and students satisfaction.
