Abstract
The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of dry land governance on peoples welfare in Madura Island in Islamic perspective. This study uses a quantitative approach which strengthened bysyari qualitative analysis and kasyf analysis. The objects of this study are 4 districts in Madura Island which is selected by using non probability sampling technique. The samplesare Bangkalan,Sampang, Pamekasan, andSumenep. Theanalysis technique used in this study is Partial Least Square (PLS). The result of the study shows that dry land governance has a negative and significant effect on peoples welfare in Madura Island.Whereas the Agricultural productivity has a positive and significant impact on peoples welfare in Madura Island. This study also proves that the multidisciplinary and dynamic modification model of Ibn Khladun has been applied to the activity of dry land agriculture in Madura Island, along with that, Zadjuli theory about line of poverty and prosperity can be applied to measure the level of welfare in Madura Island, so it can be said that Dry Land Governance is not yet kaffa according to Islamic law. Based on intuitive or kasyf analysis, proved that Dry Land Governance in Madura Island has been unsuitable to Koran Al A-raf verse 56-57 but the low rainfall level in Madura Island as the shadow of rainfall in East Java mainland is suitable to Koran Al Baqarah verse 265.

Abstract
Guava fruit is one of the most popular horticulture products because it has various health benefits. Once fruit is harvested, the fruit is still carrying out the respiration process during storage which results in changes in physical and chemical properties. One of chemical properties that is concerned by consumers is the total soluble solids, which explain the rough sugar content. This study examined the use of handheld near-infrared instruments to predict the total soluble solids of guava fruit at various storage periods rapidly and non-destructively. The research method used in this study was multivariate data analysis. Spectral pre-treatments were applied to correct the spectra and increase the accuracy of prediction. Calibration model was done by partial least squares regression (PLSR) and principal component regression (PCR). The results showed that the use of handheld near-infrared instrument was able to predict the total soluble solids of guava fruit with high accuracy. The best calibration model was produced on the model that was pre-treated by orthogonal signal correction (OSC) and calibrated using the PLSR. Coefficient of determination (R2) of calibration and validation were 0.848 and 0.722, respectively, while the root mean squares error of calibration (RMSEC) and root mean squares error of prediction (RMSEP) were 0.389 and 0.480, respectively.

Abstract
Historical findings reveal that the Filipino-s lineage could be traced partly from Indonesians. And even to the present, such ancestral relations are observable in both countries through their language, facial features, and other cultural aspects like values and practices. One cultural practice in particular is the use of traditional medicines which are still alive and thriving in both countries. This qualitative study was thus crafted to investigate the connections in the use of traditional medicines in the Philippines and Indonesia, particularly in Iligan City, and the territory of Jogjakarta. Anchored on Migration theories and cultural diffusionism theories, this study attempts to answer the following questions: 1. What are the different Jamu medicines and tambal binisaya medicines and how do they draw their efficacy? 2. What are the strategies of these traditional medicine vendors to cope with the modernizing world? 3. How similar/ different are the reasons as to why Jamu and Tambal Binisaya are continually being patronized in the present day? Through the Data analysis, it was revealed that even though there are more varieties of tambal binisaya, most of the medicines there heal due to spiritual/ faith-based reasons as compared to Jamu-s scientifically backed discoveries. It was also found that to ensure business survival, the vendors from both tambal binisaya and Jamu have learned to adapt and employ marketing strategies which would best cater their patrons. Finally, it was discovered that both tambal binisaya and Jamu are still thriving in the modern world because of socioeconomic reasons. Both customers and vendors, see the use of the traditional medicines as more practical since these cost less but can still provide vitality or healing.

Abstract
Nowadays, technology has become an integral part of our lives. One of the interesting things concerning the advancement of technology is the fact that the world is becoming more and more paperless. The idea of creating paperless classroom was initially stimulated by the availability of Internet Technology and the possibility of reducing the cost by minimizing the use of physical materials (Slowinski, 2000, in Wang, 2010). Looking at this trend, as the Head of a Language Center, I came up with an idea to apply paperless policy at my institution especially at the Introduction to College English (ICE) classes. In reality; however, the idea did not work well. This quantitative and descriptive qualitative research describes the reasons why the policy failed. The data were taken from a survey, teacher-s reflection and semi-formal interview with some of the teachers. The findings suggest that there were several factors contributing to the failure of the policy, namely: overconfidence, over generalization, and lack of communication and preparation. It is implied that the success of paperless practice needs support from students, teachers and institution.

Abstract
Research on the sharia bank financial performance level was first conducted by SudinHaron (1996), then similar research was conducted by Anna P.I. Vong(1997), M. Kabir Hassan (2002), Abdel-Hameed M. Bashir (2003), Samy Ben Naceur (2003), Muhammad Farhan, Khizer Ali and ShamaSadaqat (2011), and Nor Hayati Ahmad (2011). Macroeconomic factors and internal factors are variables that have an effect on sharia banking. These factors are GDP, inflation, and interest rates, FDR, OER which can affect directly or indirectly the financial performance of sharia banks in Indonesia. The result has shown GDP has a significant positive effect on ROA, it is match with several previous research, Inflation has no significant and negative effect on ROA, because when inflation central bank will give policy to increase BI rate, and sharia bank doesn-t effect with interest rate because interest is riba, interest rate has no significant effect on ROA because sharia bank doesn-t effect with the interest but use profit and loss sharing to financing, so in macroeconomic the result only GDP has significant and positive effect on ROA. The result has shown FDR has no significant effect on ROA, but has positive effect and the result match with previous research in relationship FDR and ROA, OER has negative significant effect on ROA and match with previous research (Sianturi, 2013).

Abstract
Introduction: Pain is a cause of unsatisfaction in labor. The use of lumbar epidural analgesia (LEA) in labor is widespread due to its benefits in terms of pain relief and shortening of time labor. Method: The study was conducted on 50 consecutive primiparous women in labor at Asri Medical Center. They were given explanations about the two options for pain relief (parenteral opioid /sedative or lumbar epidural analgesia) then grouped according to their request. The epidural group received 0.125 plain bupivacaine, while other group received pentazocine intravenously. Result: The mean duration of the first and second stages of labor, respectively, were significantly shorter in the lumbar epidural group (p = 0.01 and p = 0.02). There was no difference in the rate of cesarean delivery, epidural analgesia (32% [8/25]), parenteral opioid / sedative (44% [11/25]), (OR = 0.60; 95% CI = 0.19-1.90). The closed questionnaire showed that the overall experience of labor was much better in the lumbar epidural group (80% versus 4%). Conclusion: More primiparous satisfied with lumbar epidural analgesia than among those who received parenteral opioids / sedatives.

Abstract
Background: Plasma leakage is a problem that needs to be watched out for DHF patients which can lead to shock conditions and potentially cause death. Previous research on the use of methylprednisolone in adult DHF patients can significantly increase platelet counts but the evidence regarding the use of methylprednisolone in children DHF patients is still very limited. Objective : to determine the effect of giving methylprednisolone to clinical features, laboratory tests and length of stay in pediatric DHF patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital, Bantul. Methods: The study design used RCT with a single blind. There were two groups, namely the intervention group was given methylprednisolone therapy and the control group was given a placebo. Bound variables measured were body temperature, trommbocytes, hematocrit and length of stay. Data analysis using the SPSS program. Result: There was no significant difference between groups on the number of platelet counts ,hematocrit and temperature variables where the p value was greater than 0.05. Whereas in the variable length of stay there are significant differences with the p value of 0.01 (p> 0.05). Conclusion: There were no significant differences in laboratory and clinical variables but there were significant differences in the variable length of stay.
