Abstract
Abstract This study investigated the use of English discourse markers in students writing at Universitas PGRI Semarang, Indonesia. Fraser (2009) identifies three functional classes of EDMs; contrastive, elaborative and inferential. The problems of this study are; what are the English discourse markers use in students writing, and what are the functions realized in students writing. This is a qualitative descriptive design. The sample of the study was the EFL students writing result which have 45 essays at English education study program of Universtitas PGRI Semarang Indonesia. In analyzing the data, the writers did prior activities such as collecting and classifying. The result is that shows students used contrastive EDMs like; but 24, however 8, although 5, elaborative EDMs like; and 344, also 50, in addition 3, inferential EDMs like; as a result 4, then 10, because 13, since 39. It elaborates us that mostly students used and familiar using elaborative functions rather than contrastive and inferential. Furthermore, they have a very limitation in understanding and comprehending some words of EDMs in their writing, it has only 10 markers in all functions. The more markers they use in their writing so that the more coherence and cohesion within their writing. Conclusion of this study reflects that students are still weak in using some EDMs in their writing so that they only produce the certain familiar markers. The pedagogical implication that I can say is that students of EFL need to get some kinds of EDMs to compose their writing well organized and understood

Abstract
e-Toll is an electronic card used to pay for toll road entry fees in parts of Indonesia. E-Toll users only need to attach a card to pay the toll in 4 seconds, faster than when paying in cash that takes 7 seconds. The use of e-Toll also reduces operational costs because only costs are needed to collect, deposit and transfer cash to and from the Bank. In addition to being the first step in modernizing money collection, the use of e-Toll is also intended to reduce violations because toll officers do not receive payments directly. However, the policy of using e-Toll on the toll road certainly has an impact on the number of employees at the toll booths, which are not small. The situation as described above occurs at PT. Jasa Marga Purbaleunyi branch which is engaged in services, especially Toll Road maintenance services. In this case the author is interested in knowing more about the Professional Transfer Program and its influence on employee psychology at PT. Jasa Marga Cab. Purbaleunyi. PT Jasa Marga establishes a cashless policy or the implementation of a non-cash payment system which is a direct program from the government. With the existence of this policy, Jasa Marga issued a Professional Transfer policy for employees at the Toll Gate. Based on research results, 82% of the Toll Gate employees who participated in this program felt that Professional Transfer was the right solution for employees affected by the cashless policy. So it was concluded that the Professional Transfer Policy was the right solution in dealing with cashless policies.

Abstract
Three main objectives of conservation are protection, preservation and sustainable utilization. Timor deer is one of Indonesian wild animal that has many benefits and high economic value. But the current timor deer population continues to decrease with population decline rate of 10% in each generation. It caused by harvesting without considering sustainability. Therefore it is necessary to manage the population for timor deer, so it can be available for sustainable use. Optimum sustainable population is a threshold population size for sustainable harvesting. The purpose of this study is to estimate the optimum sustainable population size so timor deer can be utilized sustainably in the future. The method used was projecting the actual population by using Leslie matrix (Density Dependence) so that population growth can be seen. The optimum sustainable population is the size of the population with the highest growth rate. The time used for this population projection is 100 years. Based on the results of this research, the optimum sustainable population size for timor deer in the pananjung Pangandaran nature reserve and natural park is 751 individuals and the optimum sustainable population size will be achieved in 2047.

Abstract
Study of the mercury (Hg II) removal from aqueous solution has been investigated by adsoprtion using a low-cost bentonite nanoparticle. The nano-bentonite adsorbent was prepared by heating method at temperature of 400 Celcius. The activation was carried out by immersing natural bentonite in sodium hydroxide. The resulting powder was heated in the present of nitrogen gas as an activator agent. The bentonite sample was characterized by means of Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD). The prepared bentonite had a heterogeneous surface with a particle size of 300 nm. The nano adsorbent was tested in the absorption of synthetic Hg(II) solution which concentration varied from 5 to 120 ppm with 0.1 gram absorbent and volume of 100 ml. The adsorbed amount of Hg(II) was analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The adsorption capacities were fully fit with Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm models. It was found that the adsorption process followed the Freundlich isotherm model with and adsorption capacity of 6.086 mg/g. Therefore, we conclude that nano-bentonite can be a potential low-cost adsorbent for removal of mercury in water.

Abstract
One group of organisms that can be used as bioindicators of water quality is benthos, these organisms are spread over several habitats and also in coastal areas, one of which is in the seagrass ecosystem on Bira Island, located in the Kepulauan Seribu Jakarta. The aim of this study was to determine the dynamics of benthic population as an illustration of the environmental conditions on Bira Island for 6 months of observation. The method used in this study was descriptive with survey design. Data collecting by purposive sampling with the transect method at 3 observation stations. The data were analyzed descriptively through the calculation of abundance, diversity and dominance. The results of the study identified 23 species of benthos included in the 3 phylum with the largest to lowest composition represented by molluscs, arthropods and echinoderms phylum. The benthic population fluctuates and shows a pattern of decreasing trends every month during observation. The abundance of the highest species of each phylum is represented by Turicula javana (Mollusc), Portunus sp (Arthropods) and Holothuria atra (Echinoderms. The Species Abundance based on the observation station shows that the highest abundance is at station 1, followed by station 2 and the lowest is station 3. Benthos diversity at each station is in the moderate category, and there is no dominant species

Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of Poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) and Soluble soybean polysaccharides (SSPS), and to characterize it (water resistance and biodegradation test). This research was done by blending (mixing) PVA, SSPS, acetic acid, and maleic anhydride. From the results of infrared spectrum analysis on plastic films showed peaks in the area 1000-1100 cm-1 which indicates the absorption of polysaccharides. This plastic has an optimum water resistance of in the ratio between 1:1 w/w (SSPS:PVA). Optimum biodegradation test results in the ratio of 1:1 w/w (SSPS:PVA). Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that water resistance and biodegradation reach optimal on composition 1:1 w/w (SSPS:PVA).

Abstract
Light Dependent Resistance (LDR) is one type of resistor whose resistance value is influenced by the intensity of light received by it. This study aims to measure the amount of resistance in each color of light measured in the LDR. The research method is carried out by making a measurement device in which a light source that is parallel to the LDR is placed, between which a color layer is inserted which will change the white light from the lamp to the color light according to the color layer used. Variation in the distance (x) between lights and LDR causes greater resistance. The results of this study indicate that when the distance of 0.52 m the amount of red resistance is 44000 ± 0.5 Ω with an error 0.00114%, yellow 48300 ± 0.5 Ω with an error 0.00114%, green 96120 ± 26.29 Ω with an error 0.02735%, blue 114910 ± 10.54 Ω with error 0.00917 %, purple 129150 ± 47.79 Ω with an error of 0.037%. These results show an inversely proportional between resistance and light intensity.

Abstract
Papilio memnon memnon is one of the butterflies groups of the Papilio clan in West Java, Indonesia. This study aims were to determine the morphology, behavior, and life cycle of the P. m memnon butterfly. The research method used is descriptive with survey techniques and literature studies. This study aims to determine the morphology, behavior, and life cycle of the P. m memnon butterfly. The research method used was descriptive with survey techniques and literature studies. Data about morphology, duration of life, and behavior at each development phase during the P. m memnon butterfly life cycle were analyzed descriptively based on direct observation. The results showed the egg phase of P. m. memnon takes about 7-8 days to the phase instar1 of the larvae. The average total time needed in the larval phase is around 23 - 45 days to the pupa phase. The Pre-pupa phase lasts 1-2 days, while the pupa phase lasts 2-3 weeks. P. m. memnon performs the larval phase as many as 5 stages of instar. Food eaten by first phase instar 1 of larvae is the eggshell, which is useful for insect growth and helps eliminate evidence of eggs from parasitic attacks. At each phase of development, the larvae eat the outer skin to obtain additional energy to support growth.

Abstract
Pathways admissions line independent achievement sport especially badminton was held at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati in Bandung aims to help athletes who want to proceed to a higher level and change the paradigm of athletes on the importance of continuing education to a higher level in accordance with the criteria specified. The process of determining the acceptance still uses the old system with penginputan in Microsoft Excel that sometimes cause confusion. To help determine a candidate independent of badminton accomplishment line it then required a decision support system. Methods that can be used for decision support system by using Analytical Network Process (ANP), with this method of calculation is done by doing a comparison between the criteria and alternatives will then produce supermatriks, then do the weighting process will determine the athletes who deserve to go to UIN Sunan Gunung Djati in Bandung. This research uses the 9 prospective registrants (alternate) as a sample after a comparison calculation manually and the application of the methods itself then acquired a relative error of 0%. So the system has been made is said to be worth used relative error sebeb less than 50%.
