Abstract
Though poverty is a global phenomenon, its concentration in India is greater than any other country. According to World Bank data, almost 30% of the world-s extreme poor were living in India in 2011. As a religious group, Muslims in India are trapped in the incidence of poverty more than other communities except Buddhists. In aggregate terms, one in every three Muslims lives below poverty line in India. Muslims in India are the second largest majority after Hindus. The data on the socio-economic status of Muslims reveals that the community lags behind Hindus in almost all areas including education, government jobs and financial inclusion. Poverty is one of the main reasons for the pathetic condition of the community in the country. As per the available data, 21.7 % of Muslims living in rural areas are in poverty. The incident of poverty is more acute among the Muslims living in urban areas, as the percentage of poor Muslims in urban areas stands at a staggering 33.7%. The average of combined Muslim population below poverty line in rural and urban areas stood at 25.8% by 2009-2010. As a whole, along with being the second largest majority in India, Muslims also constitute the second largest religious group in poverty after Buddhists. This abject condition of the community can be remedied to a great extent if along with other governmental policies, the resources of Waqf (Islamic charitable endowments) are deployed properly with the objective of poverty mitigation in the community. India hosts a massive size and amount of Waqf. There are approximately 4.9 lakh (490,000) registered Waqf properties in the country. The total area that Waqf properties of the country cover is more than six hundred thousand acres. The current market value of all Waqf properties in the country are estimated to be worth more than 1.2 trillion Indian Rupees. According to the some estimates if these properties are put to efficient and marketable use they can generate at least a minimum return of ten per cent. Thus, the role of Waqf institution can be critically important in reducing the poverty of particularly Muslim community. However, partially due to lack of a robust governance structure and also due to rigidity of approach and misapplication, the institution of Waqf remains either static or unresponsive towards the poverty of the community. This paper examines the potential relationship of Waqf and poverty reduction among the Indian Muslims followed by a critical analysis of the religious as well as legal governance structures of Waqf. The paper finds that the rate of poverty among the Muslims in India can be substantially reduced if the available resources of Waqf are deployed through proper planning and with efficiency. The paper is based on qualitative research paradigm and it adopts socio-legal research methodology for the analysis of the available literature. The paper concludes with some critical policy recommendations which may help to provide a road-map for t

Abstract
The army worm, Spodoptera litura, is the major leaf feeding-pest of soybean in Indonesia. The aim of the study was to identify the resistance of soybean genotypes to the army worm based on the preference index. A total of 150 soybean genotypes were grown under field condition from February to May 2018 in Malang (East Java, Indonesia). The preference test was conducted in the laboratory, and using G100H as resistant check to army worm. The result showed that the preference index of 150 genotypes was ranged from 0.09-1.82. A total of 105 genotypes were less preferred by larvae of S. litura (resistant), 39 genotypes were more preferred by larvae of S. litura (susceptible), and a genotype has equal resistant with G100H. Based on the preference index and morphophysiological characters, 150 soybean genotypes can be grouped into eight clusters. A genotype (Anjasmoro/Rajabasa-41) has characteristics of low leaf moisture content, dense leaf trichomes, and the preference index of 0.14. Those characters could be the attributes of the soybean genotypes resistant to S. litura. The Anjasmoro/Rajabasa-41 has the opportunity to be developed in tropical regions of Indonesia or can be used as a source of resistance genes to S. litura.

Abstract
The barrier to realizing the potential of lignocellulosic bioethanol is the recalcitrance of cellulosic biomass. Overcoming this biomass recalcitrance is the key challenge to large scale production of lignocellulosic bioethanol. Pretreatment is an important and critical step that enables enzyme hydrolysis of lignocellulose conversion to ethanol. Finding a pretreatment method for reducing the high recalcitrance via cost-effective pretreatment methods would therefore be of great benefit. This study aims at investigating the effect of pretreatment on delignification process of sugarcane bagasse and palm oil trunk. Two methods of pretreatment were compared i.e. alkaline hydrogen peroxide pretreatment (1% and 5% H2O2) and subcritical water pretreatment (170oC, 2.2 MPa) for the effectiveness of reducing the lignin content. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) analysis was also performed to investigate the effect of pretreatment on structure profile of lignocellulosic biomass. It was observed that alkaline hydrogen peroxide pretreatment gave better results than subcritical water pretreatment based on the lignin content for both lignocellulosic biomass. Pretreated sugarcane bagasse presented lower lignin content than pretreated palm oil trunk. Lignin was successfully removed until 56.99% under the best condition of 5% of alkaline hydrogen peroxide, at 28oC for 72 h incubation. This study confirmed that alkaline pretreatment was found have a better method for the conversion of lignocellulosic materials. Furthermore, sugarcane bagasse has a greater potency as basic raw materials used for the bioethanol production than palm oil trunk because it has lower content of lignin with higher content of cellulose.

Abstract
Globally, disposable baby diapers demand continues to grow alongside with an increase in the birth rate and child (aged 0-3) population. On average, diapers consumption is around 6-8 pieces per baby, giving approximately 6,300 diapers for the next 2.5 years. Furthermore, each diaper contains 35% of organic and 65% of inorganics materials. The presences of inorganics materials pose a detrimental effect on the environment as it needs around 500-800 year to breakdown or degrade. This study was aimed to enhance the valorisation of disposable baby diapers waste by implementing sterilisation technology. The technology was based on a double jacket and centrifugal speed principles, enabling to effectively and safely sterilise the diapers wastes. The comparison with the conventional technology was carried out based on the following parameters: total number of E. coli, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), turbidity, pH, temperature, and economic analysis. The results indicated that the proposed sterilisation technology has superior performance that conventional sterilisation technology. The findings also confirmed that the sterilised diapers waste can be further reused for making other valuable products, such as eco-friendly handy craft or souvenirs. Economically, the implementation of the proposed technology can support the creation of green creative industries, particularly in Indonesia.

Abstract
The occurrence of plant blindness among students, then the plant literacy movement must be carried out intensively through learning in schools by applying phenetic. This study used a pre-experimental design pre-test and post-tests group. Pre-test about system thinking which is part of 21st century skills of critical thinking and problem solving regarding seed plants as aspects of 21st century plant literacy in high school students of class X MIPA in Bandung, conducted before phenetic learning. During learning, students are assigned to begin by identifying and selecting the characters of each taxon until reconstructing the phenogram. After phenetic learning, a post test was conducted. The results showed that there was an increase in 21st century plant literacy as much as 0.61 which included moderate categories and students could positively accept phenetic learning. Thus in addition to being a curriculum demand, phenetic also has the potential as a means to improve 21st century student plant literacy, but only a few aspects of system thinking can be developed. Further improvement is needed in phenetic learning, especially in selecting taxon and determining its characteristics.

Abstract
Each teacher in the school almost shows a role that seems more dominant than the participation of students in the teaching and learning process. The atmosphere makes students less active and less opportunities to develop self-creativity and make them continue to depend on the teacher and others. Whereas in the context of facing competition in the present era, qualified and highly skilled human resources are needed, able to work together and dare to compete. This study tried the Group Investigation (GI) type of cooperative learning model. This model prepares students to be in groups and work together both with group friends and other friends so that they are motivated to learn more actively. This research is an experimental study using two groups of students. One group as the experimental group and the other group as the control group. The purpose of this study is to compare the mathematics learning achievement of students who get conventional GI type cooperative learning models. The population is all seventh grade students at Caringin 1 Public High School, while the research sample is two classes of four VII classes at Caringin 1 Public High School. The instrument in this study is a form of seven questions. The results of the study on the final test were obtained, the value of tcount = 6.17 by taking the significance level of 1% and db = 30 + 32 - 2 = 60, then obtained t table = 2.39. It turns out that tcount = 6.17> t table = 2.39, this means H0 is rejected. So it can be concluded that student learning achievement in mathematics subjects that learn to get the GI type cooperative learning model is better than students who get conventional learning models. Received at 1% significance level.

Abstract
Investing in mining stocks, investors are often faced with risk problems. Usually to minimize risk, this is done by forming an investment portfolio. This paper aims to discuss the optimization of the investment portfolio. The data analyzed are several mining stocks traded on the capital market in Indonesia. Optimization is done by using the mean-absolute deviation model to determine the optimal weight. Where optimization is done using a singular covariance matrix. Based on the results of optimization, we can obtain a weight allocation composition that provides an optimal portfolio. In addition, we also predict the amount of return on expectations and risks in the optimal portfolio formed. So that the composition of this optimal weight can be used as a consideration for investors in investing their capital in several analyzed mining stocks.

Abstract
Kendal Industrial Park (KIP) is a bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore. The cooperation is expected to be the driving force of the Indonesian economy, without prejudice to the economic impacts of surrounding communities. This study aims to analyze the impact of the park on changes society welfare. This type of research is qualitative research, by case study approach, with data source from community, government and manager through purposive sampling method. The analysis result show that KIP does not have a significant impact on changes in livelihoods, because there are still many companies that have not yet operated and many companies that are under construction. So the agricultural sector still dominates the livelihoods of population. Changes in income as a result of the development industrial estates bring different effects to the community. People who feel the positive impact of livelihood changes are those who can work at KIP. However, the people who are still in agricultural sector do not feel a change of their income. The impact of KIP development cannot be enjoyed by the community so far, synergistic steps are needed between the government, KIP and community, so can integrate well in order to achieve the success of regional development.
