Abstract
Early algebraic thinking was not explicitly mentioned in the elementary school mathematics curriculum in Indonesia. However, whether students are able to develop important algebraic ideas from a general arithmetic perspective through the current curriculum. This study tries to explore the learning experiences of elementary school students and constructs the meaning behind these learning experiences towards the emergence of early algebraic thinking. The researcher analyzes how students construct meaning through in-depth interviews with students in grades IV to VI. The results of this study indicate the fact that certain algebraic ideas must be deliberately reformed in the curriculum since the early grades, because these ideas did not develop naturally in students without proper learning design.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of skills assessment based on the 2013 Curriculum in one of the Bandung State Middle Schools. This study is descriptive qualitative research. The study was conducted in the even semester of the school year 2019/2020 with research informants are 2 mathematics teachers who teach mathematics in class VIII. The data were collected by using observation and interview. The results of this study are that the teachers only carry out the assessment of practices, products, and portfolios. The implementation of this type is carried out without using the rubric assessment. This is because the teachers have the difficulties in preparing objective assessment rubrics even though the school has implemented In House Training. This is because there is rarely an evaluation of In House Training. By carrying out an evaluation of the In House Training, it is hoped that it can help teachers in developing skills assessment rubrics so that they can carry out skills assessments properly.

Abstract
Understanding of a concept can be said as the ability of learners in expressing and re-explaining the information that has been received each learner. Understanding the concept of students said good when given the problem, learners can solve the problem well. This study aims to see the improvement of students concept understanding during science learning using Problem Based Learning for the concept of pressure in accordance with the curriculum of 2013 class VIII semester II. The research method used is a weak experiment with The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This design is used because researchers do not use the control group. This research was conducted in one of class VIII in Secondary high school Negeri in Sidayu District Gresik Regency. Aspects of understanding of concepts seen are limited to only a few aspects, namely aspects of translating, interpreting, and extrapolating. The result of the research shows that there is an increase concept comprehension for each aspect of understanding the concept of pressure in accordance with the calculation of n-gain, ie the translate aspect is 0.52 with the medium category, the interpreting aspect is 0.62 with the medium category, and the extrapolation aspect is 0.47 in the medium category. Based on the results of the calculation of n-gain can be said Problem Based Learning can improve understanding of the concept of pressure students of Secondary high school class VIII.
