Abstract
This study is motivated by national social and political developments in Indonesia. The phenomenon that arises is that religion is used as a vehicle to achieve political goals. On the other hand, to accommodate religious goals requires support from the authorities policies. In other words, the existence and interests of religion need political support. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the pattern of relations and dominance between religion and politics. on the one hand religion is used as a means to achieve political goals. While on the other hand religious interests are also fought through politics. this study uses a normative, historical, and sociological approach as the analytical knife. The conclusion of this study is that in certain conditions the pattern of relations between religion and politics is symbiotic parasitism. In this case religion becomes the loser because there is no balance between achieving interests between the two. The phenomenon that appears is that politics dominates religion. this is evidenced by the achievement of political interests through religion as its vehicle.

The reuse of grey water is one of the water management system implementations as an effort to preserve the environment. Gray water filter is an instrument that can be used to process grey water so that it can be reused. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the grey filter composition sequence on the acidity (PH) of household wastewater. This study used quantitative experimental methods. Water samples were tested before and after flowing through a filter made of four types of materials, namely sand, gravel, palm fiber, and charcoal, with the thickness of each material was 5 cm. The results of the study indicated that the composition sequence of the Gray Water Filter affects on the value of the water acidity level. The composition of the filter material that produces the lowest PH value was a composition sequence of gravel-sand-palm fiber-charcoal. While the sequence of composition that produces the highest PH value was the charcoal-and-gravel-palm fiber. All filter materials must be washed before being used as a gray water filter material so that the impurities on the surface of the material will not dissolve into the water that flows through the filter.

Gunung Kidul is the centre of cassava production. However, due to its Mediterranean soil type, it is regarded as a non-fertile soil as it was formed from the decay of limestone, has low organic matter, dry texture, brittle, and pH value of neutral to basic. Mycorrhizal inoculation is known to increase plant production, however, the effectivity is affected by the plant variety and mycorrhizal sources. This study aims to understand the interaction between various mycorrhizal sources and three local cassava varieties of Gunung Kidul, specifically on their compatibility, population, mycorrhizal diversity, and their effect on cassava growth. The experiments were conducted based on Completely Randomised Design (CRD) with experimental factors using three treatments in triplicates. The experimental factors included three cassava varieties (Mentega, Kirik, and Ketan) and various sources of mycorrhiza (indigenous Mediteran soil of Gunungkidul, the rhizosphere of pandan plants of Bugel beach, and commercial mycorrhizal inoculant). The results demonstrated that among the interactions of various mycorrhizas with three local cassava varieties of Gunung Kidul, the highest infection was seen from Mentega variety inoculated with indigenous mycorrhiza of the Mediterranean soil of Gunung Kidul (95%). The mycorrhizal population yielded 39-98 spores/100g. Mycorrhizal diversity using indigenous mycorrhiza of Mediteran soil was higher than mycorrhiza of pandan rhizosphere and commercial inoculant, and the dominant mycorrhiza type was of spores belonging to genus Glomus. On the other hand, the indigenous mycorrhiza of Mediteran soil inoculant on various cassava varieties demonstrated similar effect as it resulted in the same number of spores, root length, and plant dry weight; despite the fact that on Kirik variety growth, the significant difference was observed on the plant height, leaf number and fresh plant weight.

Abstract
One of the problems found is the lack of synergy between the social, emotional and spiritual attitudes with student-s knowledge and skills in following technological developments in the digital era. Thus, Islamic education must be prepared and should not be complacent in facing this era. This paper aims to explore the synergy between progressive values and social, emotional, spiritual values in Islamic education in order to face the challenges of the digital era. The synergy of those values is implemented in the goals, methods, material, educator qualification, and evaluation. This paper used library research using library materials sources and qualitative approach. The objective of progressive Islamic education must be able to create graduates who have scientific knowledge accompanied by social, emotional and spiritual values that are inherent in themselves. This goal can only be achieved if the learning system uses a model of integration between science and technology mastery and Islamic values in the selection of materials, methods, and evaluations. Meanwhile, the qualification of educators needed to realize the expected goals is derived from the model exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad which has four competencies namely, personal competence (sidiq), social competence (amanah), pedagogical competence (tabligh), and professional competence (fathanah)

This research described teaching and learning interactions in an English Course in Surabaya. Using recorded conversations among teachers and students in that course as data, speech act patterns used by the English Tutors are analyzed from the perspective of speech act approach. It turned out that the researcher could classify the recording of the English into 17 Illocutionary Functions from Illocutionary Acts of Austin Taxonomy, Searle Taxonomy, and Spratt Classroom Language or Discourse. Those are Greeting, Welcoming, Describing, Recommending, Emphasizing, Asking, Correcting, Affirming, Guaranteeing, Thanking, Answering, Offering, Planning, Announcing, Inviting, Predicting, and Threatening. The researcher could recommend just about everything other than Threatening. Anything related to it and the kinds, e.g. negative feedback and negative reinforcement bring more harm than good in teaching and learning process. It inhibits the second language learning and acquisition.

This paper analyzes the trends and cross-sectional variations of non-lending income in Islamic and conventional banking. Using unbalanced panel data from 112 banks in Indonesia, this paper further analyzes if the trends and cross-sectional variations of non-lending income in Islamic and conventional banking depend on the same factors. The analyses are based on dynamic panel data regression estimations, in which heteroscedasticity robust standard errors are used. The results indicate that the trends and cross-sectional variations of non-lending income in Islamic banking tend to respond differently to several bank characteristics than to those in conventional banking.

Information/ computer technology is currently experiencing rapid development. Jobs without using a computer will be difficult and require considerable time to complete. The use of information technology / computers increase productivity because various activities can be carried out quickly, and accurately. One of jobs that is quite difficult and takes a long time is designing of motorcycle friction plate clutch. The program was made by translating the plate coupling design procedure into the Delphi programming language. A design program was made by arranging interfaces according to clutch design requirements then giving orders (codes). Deviation or difference in results after cross-checking between manual calculations and program calculation is 0%. The friction plate clutch design program made by Borland Delphi 7 software can work well and calculation or design using the program is more effective than manual calculation because of the shorter time needed.

Abstract
The use of technology in education is believed effective to stimulate and improve students- comprehension, engagement, and autonomy in learning. It can also be the answer of the problem where time allocation cannot accommodate the whole material. Therefore, this study focuses on developing an English video-based material as the main media in teaching English to the freshmen. It is also intended to measure the improvement of the students- mastery of English. This study applies Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model which consists of six steps, namely concept, design, obtaining materials, assembly, try-out, and distribution. IT involves the freshmen or first semester of university students from any kinds of major. The findings shows that the designed-video can support the teaching learning progress in the terms of content, instructional plan, and technical production which improves not only the students- performance both in written and oral but also their positive attitude in learning.
